Here are strategies that work:
Make reading social.
Many websites (listed below) support reading.
Next time you have to read something you don’t want to, print out a log of “what I noticed” and “what I thought when I read the text." This is similar to annotating the text, but a preferred option if you do not want to mark your textbook. If you can access an electronic version of the reading, annotate it (using the free software link below).
