Overview

These research guides were designed by KCC Librarians to help students learn how to:

  • Identify and navigate Morris Library services
  • Understand the research process
  • Evaluate their sources for credibility and usefulness to their assignments
  • Locate library resources most relevant to their subject matter
  • Avoid plagiarism and cite their sources in the appropriate format for their subject area

If you have never used a Research Guide, please watch the brief tutorial video below or click the "What is a Research Guide?" tab above. Note that many guide pages will use tabbed boxes to group similar information together, you will need to navigate both pages and boxes to make the fullest use of this Research Guide.

To learn more about what this specific guide contains, please scroll down to the box below this one!

A Research Guide (also known as a Library Guide or LibGuide for short) is a page designed by librarians to guide you through the research process or library services relevant to a particular topic. While what is included on a Research Guide will vary based on the subject, in general you can expect to find:

  • Explanations of basic library services including borrowing policies and library hours
  • Recommended resources for your subject areas and tutorials for how to use them
  • Information on the research process and research tips
  • Resources for relevant citation styles in your area
  • Contact information for the library and your subject librarian if you have any further questions

The Guides are regularly updated. If you have trouble navigating a research guide or have a recommendation for how we can improve this service, please consider completing our Research Guide Feedback Survey.

From here, please navigate to the most relevant page for your needs using the links on the left of the page, or start from the top and work your way down. Happy researching!
